FTI Consulting Enhances Latin America Strategic Communications Offerings

Practice Expands Footprint to Houston with Current Mexico Lead

Washington, D.C., Aug. 4, 2022 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) announces the enhancement of its strategic communications offerings with the launch of a Latin American desk in Houston, Texas. This Houston Hub (the “Hub”), supported by professionals at the intersection of the Latin America practice and industry-specific global practices, will focus on advising clients dealing with high-stakes issues, whether pursuing market access and expansion opportunities or engaging in value defense efforts, to illuminate and influence stakeholder dynamics throughout the region.

Ana Heeren, a Senior Managing Director and Head of Latin America for the Strategic Communications segment at FTI Consulting, said, “As Latin America continues to face disruptions, both positive and negative, there is an increasing demand for actionable, strategic advice beyond the context of the international policy community and the local on-the-ground operations. Our clients are increasingly requiring stakeholder-centric strategies to be integrated into the operations of their global business hubs. This new Houston Hub will allow us to provide that with unique substance and nuance.”

The new Hub will be led by Pablo Zárate, a Senior Managing Director who founded and continues to lead FTI Consulting’s strategic communications team in Mexico. “Texas is the heart of multiple critical connections between the United States, Mexico and much of Latin America, and its position as a global leader in energy, technology, and manufacturing drives hundreds of billions of dollars in trade critical to all of the Americas”, Mr. Zárate said. “We are thrilled to offer greater physical proximity to our clients and additional industry-specific capabilities within our team, both of which support the fully-integrated thinking needed to help companies navigate the many geographic, economic, political and cultural challenges that can arise.”

FTI Consulting has experts across a broad range of industries and business disciplines in Latin America. The firm’s Strategic Communications segment has advised leading global and Latin American companies on the most critical industry issues, often through cross-border programs that draw from best practices, sector-specific expertise and executional capabilities distributed throughout all the major political and financial centers in the world. The launch of the Houston Hub is part of a strategic expansion for FTI Consulting’s Latin America practice.
