FTI Consulting Appoints John Waples as EMEA Chair in the Strategic Communications Segment

London, 9 May 2024 — FTI Consulting today announced the appointment of John Waples as EMEA Chair of the Strategic Communications segment. In this role, John will lead and execute on the segment’s business strategy in the region, closely aligning with global strategic priorities, as well as the wider FTI Consulting organisation.

With a focus on growth, FTI Consulting has ambitions to expand the team and attract senior talent from across the industry, with John playing a pivotal role in driving this effort. Working with the EMEA Strategic Communications Steering Committee, John will ensure cohesive direction and effective leadership within the region. He will continue to serve as UK Head of Strategic Communications, leading the London office and strengthening collaboration on cross-segment initiatives within FTI Consulting.

John joined FTI Consulting in 2010 and became leader of the UK Strategic Communications business in 2011. Prior to that he had been at The Sunday Times for 16 years. He has deep experience and influence advising clients around financial communications, mergers and acquisitions, long-term reputation management and crisis communications.
