Supporting Your Critical Minerals Business

Download a PDF of this article

Australia has an abundance of critical minerals including cobalt, lithium, rare earth elements, manganese, vanadium, and tungsten. The mining industry is accelerating exploration, production and processing of critical minerals for use in clean energy and renewable technologies to support the world’s path to a net zero future.

The Federal Government’s Critical Minerals Strategy 2023-2030 provides a framework to build and promote critical minerals exploration, mining and downstream processing. It will guide future policy and funding decisions to develop strategically important projects.

As the world’s energy transition relies on Australia to find and provide critical minerals, the mining sector must also navigate challenges around increasing regulation, growing ESG and stakeholder expectations, increased costs and value chain disruptions.

At FTI Consulting, we help critical minerals companies and investors address their strategic, financial, operational, government/regulatory and capital needs at all stages of project development. We work alongside senior management and boards to provide practical financial and operational communications support for your company and project.
