Former NATO Director Giorgio Cioni Named Senior Advisor at FTI Consulting

Brussels, 26 January 2026 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced that aerospace and defence expert Giorgio Cioni will serve as a Senior Advisor to the firm’s Strategic Communications segment in Brussels.

Mr. Cioni will support the firm’s work in the aerospace and defence sector, advising on strategy implementation, government contracts, procurement and regulatory requirements issues.

Geopolitics are reshaping national security priorities, supply chains and regulation, while new technologies are transforming strategies and solutions,” said Hans Hack, Head of the Strategic Communication segment in Brussels at FTI Consulting. “It is at times like this that our clients look to us for trusted, expert-led guidance. Giorgio’s deep knowledge of the sector will be a huge asset as they adapt to new market opportunities and challenges, particularly when it comes to navigating EU and NATO priorities.”

Mr. Cioni has more than 25 years of experience in defence policy, investment and inter-agency coordination through his career at NATO. He served as Director of Armament and Aerospace Capabilities in the Defence Investment Division, where he led policy and capability developments across land, maritime, air and space. Mr. Cioni played a strategic role in numerous defence  programmes, including Command and Control and Joint Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Cioni chaired several major policy committees, such as the Integrated Air and Missile Defence Policy Committee and The Aviation Committee, where he was NATO’s point of contact with international aviation and aerospace organisations. Mr. Cioni also brings deep expertise in European Union and partner country aerospace and defence institutions, as well as transatlantic defence and technology bodies and companies.
