Chief Executive Officer of Mexico’s Leading Business Chamber Joins FTI Consulting as Senior Advisor

Appointment Enhances Latin America Public Affairs Expertise

Mexico City, April 19, 2022 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced that Javier Treviño, who currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Mexico’s Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (“CCE”), has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor to the Latin American practice within its Strategic Communications segment.

Mr. Treviño, who is based in both Mexico City and Monterrey, will provide issues management and strategic advice to existing clients with significant exposure to Latin America, deepening the team’s capabilities and expertise to execute public affairs programs within a broad range of industries around both market access and value defense priorities.

“Over the last three years, Javier has not only had a front-row seat to all the major unfolding policy, political and regulatory issues that materially impact the business sector in the country,” said Pablo Zárate, a Senior Managing Director and Strategic Communications segment lead at FTI Consulting in Mexico. “He has also shaped and, in a way, defined them. His appointment deepens our ability to provide strategic counsel on cross-segment, business-critical challenges, either in terms of market access or in terms of value defense.”

Prior to his appointment at CCE, Mr. Treviño was a member of Mexico’s Congress and served in high-ranking positions in the Mexican government, including Deputy Foreign Minister, Deputy Education Minister, Deputy Finance Minister for Administration and Spokesman at the Mexican Embassy in Washington. He also served as Lieutenant Governor for the State of Nuevo León.

Mr. Treviño also served as the Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications and Public Affairs of CEMEX, a global building materials company with operations in over 50 countries. He has served as Vice President of the Mexican Council on International Affairs, and has been a member of the board of the Institute of the Americas, the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Mexico Institute, the Organization of American States’ Trust for the Americas, the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies at the University of California San Diego, the North American Center at Arizona State University, and El Colegio de México Foundation.
