Rachel Chesley Named to American Bankruptcy Institute’s 2023 “40 Under 40”

Restructuring communications leader Rachel Chesley has been recognized as one of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s “40 Under 40” in insolvency for 2023. The annual award honors emerging leaders under the age of 40 who exemplify excellence in the field and driving positive change in the community.

Ms. Chesley provides communications counsel to companies, boards of directors, lenders, creditors and buyers as they prepare for, execute and emerge from financial restructuring or reorganization, as well as other moments of transformation and change. She frequently leads complex mandates involving international operations, workforce reductions, litigation, and transactions executed through a 363 sale process. Notable engagements include LATAM Airlines, GNC, McClatchy, and TPC Group. She regularly serves as an on-the-record media spokesperson for her clients.

At FTI Consulting, Ms. Chesley leads the growing restructuring communications practice, which has supported communications for more than 60 in- and out-of-court restructurings in the past three years. She is steadfastly committed to building a cohesive and supportive firm culture and mentoring other women in the profession.

In addition to this latest accolade, Ms. Chesley has previously been recognized as a rising star in her profession by PR Week, Consulting Magazine, The M&A Advisor and Business Insider.

American Bankruptcy Institute selected the honorees from more than 200 candidates each with track record of professional and community achievements. The honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony on December 1 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
