FTI Consulting Appoints Victoria Strachwitz as Head of Strategic Communications in Germany
Lutz Golsch Transitions to Chairman of Strategic Communications in Germany
Frankfurt, 5 September 2023 — FTI Consulting today announced the appointment of Victoria Strachwitz as Head of the Strategic Communications segment in Germany. In her new role, Ms. Strachwitz leads all business operations of the communications and change consultancy in Germany. She succeeds Dr Lutz Golsch, who after 10 years is transitioning to Chairman of the Strategic Communications segment in Germany. The Chairman role was previously held by Michael Reinert, who will remain at the firm as an Executive Advisor.
This leadership transition marks the next phase of expansion for the Strategic Communications segment in Germany. FTI Consulting will continue to invest in its core advisory areas — corporate and financial communications, public and government affairs, and change and transformation consulting — to drive future growth in the country.

Since joining FTI Consulting in 2010, Ms. Strachwitz has led the People & Transformation practice in Germany to its position as one of the leading consultancies for complex change processes and transformation programmes. Most recently, as Global Co-Head of People & Transformation, she spearheaded the international expansion of the practice. As part of the core leadership team within Strategic Communications in Germany, Ms. Strachwitz has played an important role in the strategic and operational development of the segment. She is also a member of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”) Strategic Communications leadership team and the firm’s cross-segment leadership teams in Germany and EMEA.
Dr. Golsch has led the Strategic Communications segment in Germany since April 2013. During his tenure, the business has grown significantly and broadened its service offerings. As Chairman, Dr. Golsch will focus on new business development in mergers and acquisitions and IPOs, long-term reputation management and crisis communications. He will lead selected cross-country and cross-segment initiatives and will remain a member of the EMEA Strategic Communications leadership team.
Ilona Indra and Hans G. Nagl appointed as new Practice Leads in Germany
FTI Consulting also appointed Senior Managing Director Hans G. Nagl as Head of the Corporate & Financial Communications practice in Germany. The former business journalist has been with FTI Consulting since 2011 and has advised on some of the largest and most challenging corporate and transaction assignments in recent years. He currently leads the Strategic Communications segment in Munich.
Ilona Indra has been named Head of the People & Transformation practice in Germany. Ms. Indra joined FTI Consulting in 2020 following a long career at major German corporations, where she held a variety of senior positions and led complex transformation projects. As a Managing Director in the Frankfurt office, Ms. Indra advises clients on complex organizational and cultural transformations.
