FTI Consulting Appoints Robrecht Vandormael as Head of Financial Services in Brussels

Brussels, 2 October 2024 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Robrecht Vandormael as Head of the Financial Services practice within the firm’s Strategic Communications segment in Brussels.

“Robrecht is a highly respected financial services expert who knows his way around the European regulatory landscape and is a trusted senior adviser to clients,” said Hans Hack, a Senior Managing Director and Head of FTI Consulting in Brussels. “We’re thrilled that he’ll be leading the charge alongside the deep bench of expertise that already sits within the team.”

In his new role, Mr Vandormael will lead a team of experts who advise clients on asset management, insurance, banking, payments, crypto and other financial services matters. Mr Vandormael also leads the firm’s Competition and Trade practice in Brussels.

Mr Vandormael, a Senior Managing Director with more than 15 years of experience in the financial services sector, specialises in advising clients on a wide range of regulatory issues and managing successful coalitions and advocacy campaigns.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Vandormael said, “The starting gun on the next European Commission has been fired, and my colleagues and I are already considering the implications for our clients. For years, our strength has been helping clients navigate the local and global impacts of financial services politics and regulation. This expertise will only become more critical in the coming years as Europe accelerates its competitiveness agenda.”
