Accelerate Broadband Deployment in the U.S.

Today’s broadband networks have unleashed innovation and transformed the U.S. economy, and keep people connected even when they are apart, making access to broadband so critical to everyday life. This fact is evidenced by the historic federal investment in expanding broadband access to all through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act signed into law in 2021, which allocated billions of dollars to the buildout of broadband networks into unserved rural and tribal lands and support efforts to expand digital equity.

The largest allocation of funding is for the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program–$42.5 billion to be exact. As Internet Service Providers (ISPs) consider participating in this or any of the newly established broadband funding programs, it is important to consider a variety of factors and assemble of team of experts who have experience and expertise not only in broadband networks, but also in how to navigate the complex world of government funding and interacting with state and federal governments.
