Compliance

Culture dictates how employees tend to behave and presents a risk to the organization if ethics and compliance are not deeply embedded elements of company culture. Culture is often described as “squishy” and difficult to measure, especially something as specific as the state of compliance within the larger culture. But compliance culture can be measured, and it is important to do so within the context of risk assessments routinely conducted by Compliance teams.

The DOJ, SEC and other enforcement agencies have made it clear that they consider compliance culture to be important and that they want to see that compliance programs have been tested as part of their evaluations and decision-making process.

The compliance services offered by FTI Consulting’s People & Transformation team – compliance culture assessments, communications and change management programs – help clients understand and demonstrate the effectiveness of their compliance programs. We also work with clients to help them mature their compliance functions and position the team as a trusted advisor to the business.
