FTI Consulting Further Strengthens EMEA Litigation and Disputes Capability within Strategic Communications with Senior Financial Crime Hire

London, 20 April 2023 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Bella von Bohlen as a Managing Director in the firm’s Crisis and Litigation practice within the Strategic Communications segment in London.

Ms. Von Bohlen is a highly respected financial crime specialist who brings international experience advising a range of banks and financial institutions navigate the post-2008 regulatory landscape. She counsels clients on transaction risk and mitigation measures and has advised regulators, such as the Financial Conduct Authority and the Competition and Markets Authority. Ms. Von Bohlen joins FTI Consulting from Deutsche Bank AG, where she served as Counsel in the Anti-Bribery and Corruption team where she was responsible for the compliance training of business groups across the bank. Before this role, she was a barrister at QEB Hollis Whiteman Chambers specialising in financial crime.

“Corporate clients and law firms are increasingly calling on our services for reputation management throughout high-profile disputes,” said Rob Mindell, a Managing Director and the litigation communications lead in the UK at FTI Consulting. “Bella’s skill set will further deepen and expand our capabilities in complex cases of financial crime. She joins a team well-recognised for work in this and other areas, including competition, employment, IP, tax and commercial disputes.”

Ms. Von Bohlen’s appointment follows the arrival of Leonor Díaz-Córdova as a Managing Director in Madrid in March and further strengthens the depth of the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution experience in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Working within a multidisciplinary team of strategic communications, policy and public affairs experts across the region, and in close collaboration with colleagues in the United States, Asia, Australia and Latin America, Ms. Von Bohlen will advise corporate clients and law firms on international litigation and dispute resolution mandates.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms. Von Bohlen said: “I am excited to join FTI Consulting amid a rapidly evolving communications landscape for litigation and disputes. Over the course of my career, I have learned how critical good communications are to the successful management of regulation, investigations and litigation. I look forward to supporting our clients through complex challenges and to being part of FTI Consulting’s excellent Strategic Communications team.”

The announcement also follows new FTI Consulting research, “The Decade of Disputes: Spotlight on Environmental Litigation”, which found that misleading product claims, ESG disclosure and funding of group actions are all factors that increase the likelihood of environmental disputes in Europe.
